One of the biggest joys of my life is getting to spend quality time with my dear-close-bestest friends. Add a white dress ahhhhmazing light and the fact that KB and I closely resemble Peanut better and Jelly and this is what you get…

ta-da!
{360 bridge austin, tx}

when kb saw this picture the first words out of her mouth were "i'm pretty, i'm really pretty". Then I called her Sally Fields. (ok ok I may not have said that but I should have… story-of-my-life--meg ryan and I all we want is the perfect come back! sheesh)
Now remember who you are dealing with here … yep here it is THE story…
{katiebeth and meg pull up the the BOAT LAUNCH, yes that is correct we shot at a boat launch… I am my fathers daughter!}
Rando Fisherman: " I didn't know we were going formal today!"

{Tales from room 106 No. 1}

{welcome to room 106}

To preface: It is RELLY INTIMIDATING to write a blog as a 6th grade english teacher. I have an illogical fear that their poor grammar, spelling mistakes and obsession with text language will somehow penetrate my writing, but then I remember they don't even know what the word penetrate means. :)

{first day of school pic! notice the tired eyes and the coffee… yeah i've heard those are permanent}

First and foremost I want to shout from the rooftops that I LOVE MY JOB. 6th graders rock. I have the best students, the best co-workers and the best administration. #soblessed (woah I just hashed tagged in a blog, worst fears coming true?? NAH)
{Yes, they are actually calling me by the right name… halle-freakin-lujah}

The first two weeks have been a WILD ride… you hear that W.I.L.D I tell ya!
In the midst of lesson planning, grading, and scrubbing grimy 6th grade boy off I haven't had a ton of time for blogging but I wanted to tell you a story.
{I'm totes offish}

When I was in the 2nd grade I had a fabulous teacher, Mrs. Campbell. The kind of teacher you remember 15 years later ( wait 2nd grade was 15 years ago???? OMGEEE I'm old).
During the all important and somewhat daunting parent teacher meeting Mrs. Campbell sat my parents down and announced rather matter of fact-ly "Well, Megan will teach". Obviously my mother inquired why this teacher could predict what here 8 year old was going to do with her life. Apparently bossy 8-year-old Meg had told her 2nd grade teacher.

Peace out.
Miss Scholz.
"Mrs. Campbell if you put a
pointer at the other
end of the classroom you
wouldn't have to walk
ALLLL the way over there to get it."
YES, I was that kid that I cringe at when they raise their hand. Karma… its a …well you can finish that statement.

Point being… being a teacher has been my dream for 15 years (clearly…I was REALLY bossy) it is AMAZING to watch my dreams come true and watch the Lord work though my dreams! THANK YOU JESUS for the opportunity to be an example to 120 12 year olds!
