I can honestly say that this was one of the best NYE I have ever had.
I spent the day surrounded by people I love so much cheering on the team I love so much and closing one chapter and opening another!
Our seats were in the Directors Club which is now my favorite way to watch a football game. Open bar, brunch buffet, leather couches YES this makes watching football MUCH more fun!
If you went to A&M you know how hard it is to find maroon clothes that are not just aggie t-shirts. This group ROCKED the maroon. Impressed. We even got a rebel and a tiger to join in on the maroon madness!
After MUCH needed rest and a delicious fajita dinner we got ready to ring in the New Year! To ring in the new year we headed to a SUPER fun party where we counted down to 2012!
This picture says it ALL.
We coordinated. We're cute. We know.
I would not have wanted to spend my last moments of 2011 and first moments on 2012 with any one else.
Thanks Catherine for being such a wonderful hostess!
NYE Outfit of the Day!
I was determined to find a dress to wear to the A&M game which as I mentioned before is a feat! I loved this cut out dress I found at my favorite online boutique Ruche! Such unique and vintage flair clothing.
For my NYE dress I wanted something with some color. I just happened to be browsing Old Navy on a whim and found this beauty. I love both the cut and color of this dress it almost reminded me of something Christina Hendrix would wear in Mad Men! We were going to a "country" bar so I wanted something that I could throw boots on with but also dress up for another occasion!
game day:
Dress: Ruche
Boots: Cavenders
NYE:
Dress: Old Navy.. yes you read that correctly
Belt: Fabulous Vintage find
Necklace: Vintage Grandma!
Lace Tights (that you cant see but I am wearing): Loft
Thanks to Kate at The Small Things Blog for the inspiration for my NYE hair! I loved it. I knew we would be a party with a TON of people and I didn't want to deal with my hair down attempting to keep curl in in Houston humidity! I loved the results!
Hope your fist few days of 2012 have been as great and relaxing as mine!

And your hair turned out so good :)
I'm trying to grow mine out so I can attempt some of the styles from The Small Things blog, too!
