The Inherited Half

I have always been a bit of a nomad.
I moved several times as a child and the last 3 years of my life have been lived in different stages and places. I am used to change. With constant change comes a constant ebb and flow of people coming in and out of my life, and really, it dosen't bother me. Like I said I am a nomad, I like my nomad status.

Reese has the exact opposite lifestyle. He has been in the same place practically his entire life. Same state, same city, same group of friends. In fact he has only combined groups of friends childhood friends and college friends.

This weekend we spent the weekend celebrating the first Louisiana Tech Football game here in Houston with those friends. At one point I looked around and was slightly overcome by thankfulness. Thankful that I was adopted into this group. Thankful that I have a boyfriend who has such a different lifestyle and such amazing friends.

I love MY inherited group of friends. I love how they have taken me in and only make the occasional Aggie joke ( ok NOT really occasional but whateve).

I know exactly how you feel, I'm a bit of a nomad too. It's especially hard since I went to school so far away and most of my friends are still there and I didn't really keep up with anyone from HS. I'm ok with it though :) I like the new changes and new adventures. I like re-creating my life depending on where I'm at.

I love the fact that you and Reese match in that first picture! Y'all are too cute. I'm so thankful for my bloggy friends that I have met here. We just gotta get Nick to be a little more social!

Love this post on friendship! Also, somehow, we are nearly the same size, and yet, every piece of clothing you wear would not look good on me. How is this possible? I'm not much shorter than you. We're both thin. What am I missing?! :)
