Sometimes everything can be fixed with a day date, even when nothing is broken.
Reese took me on the ultimate day date this weekend. Lately I have been missing college so much-- the social aspects, not the class part, so we loaded up in the car and headed to College Station to remanis about college and the early parts of our relationship!
Reese took me on the ultimate day date this weekend. Lately I have been missing college so much-- the social aspects, not the class part, so we loaded up in the car and headed to College Station to remanis about college and the early parts of our relationship!
Our first stop was the taco shop that has my heart. I have been dreaming of steak carbon tacos since the moment I graduated and moved away. At different points in the year and a half I have been out of college Reese and I would turn to each other and have at least a 15 minute conversation about how bad we needed a Fuego taco... clearly this was a hellllllla important stop on our date!
We had enough food for 12 people, it was slightly ridiculous and also massively amazing.
I saw a tweet from Amy, a college station blogger, who recommended this beautiful little taco-- Dr. Pepper BBQ brisket taco, aka the most delicious taco ever.
Nothing like a huge bowl of steak you've been dreaming about for a year and a half!
Our second stop brought some major maroon tinted tears to these eyes. Two years into college they shut down our student center, The MSC, to renovate it. If I wasn't in class my freshman and sophomore year I was in this building. It brought back so many memories!
It's like coming home!
So many nights of studying, bible studies, heart to heart talks went down in this room! This is the only room, the flag room, that did not get renovated. Aggies call this room "the family room" and it truly lives up to its name!
The third stop was to my favorite coffee shop, Sweet Eugenes. One of the reasons I fell in love with A&M was because of Sweet Eugenes Snickers Lattes, heaven in a cup. I had so many dates/study sessions/random hang out nights at this place!
Our final stop was to Messina Hoff Winery! I am going to do a whole post about this part of the date tomorrow, but seriously it was great! Beautiful day, several glasses of wine and my favorite boy... I mean how can it not be great!
Happy Week Yall!

This makes me (almost) wish that I went to A&M for school! So many of my friends did (like most Houston people) and I visited some my freshman year but never visited any of these places. I think I need to go just for that DP taco!!
This sounds like the prefect little break from reality. I didn't even go to A&M but I think I would have enjoyed this day too! Good BF!

Love this post! Since we moved to Houston I've been looking for a TX winery to try to that doesn't take us all the way to New Braunfels! Will definitely be filing this one away for a day trip date :)
