When I was little there was no better judgement of a skirt/dress than how well it twirled. Forget the color, material or pattern if it created the perfect bell from my waist it was a go. This weekend I channeled my inner 6 year old and went all twirly on my weekend outfit for some birthday and weekend Shreveport shenanigans.
Top/Target (from high school)
There is an unspoken rule amongst our friends that every year on this weekend we all descend on Shreveport to celebrate several birthdays that occur over the summer. This weekend our group christened the new Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville Casino in Shreveport.
We came, we won/lost some money, and drank a margarita. Really I was kinda upset I didn't see as many parrot heads as I would have liked... there is just something about old people in beach wear that is precious to me!
We left the casino and headed out for some more shenanigans. We ended up at a local dive that has a KILLER band. I am convinced that the magic in a cover band comes in the form of neon shorts, a Duck Dynasty shirt and not playing a song newer than 20 years. Really its a magical combination.
See!!!! Thank you Mr. Band man for letting us lose track of time!!
See look, twirly skirt. Told ya.
And on that note I will just be over here counting down the THREE days until summer school is over! Pray for me.
Linking up with Sami for Sami's Shenanigans!
