Dear People of the Internet

Dear people of the internet,
I like you people. I have been connecting with people over the internet for well over 10 years now and blogging a little under 5 and I think it is well time that I say thank you. Thank you for sharing your life with me, thank you for letting me share mine with you. With every thumbs up or double tap heart my real human heart grows a little more. Sometimes I know it takes an immense amount of bravery to push that publish button. I see your bravery. I know it takes time to comment on others post. I cherish the time you spend with others and their words, mine included. I know that sharing the moments of celebration or the moments of failure can be world shattering. Know that the gravity of these moments are not lost on me.

I watched you date, get engaged, get married, have babies have more babies, move, fail, win, start new ventures, close up shop on others, celebrate, grieve and just plain live life for so long. It is just time to say thank you for letting me be a microscopic part of you life. I love seeing what you wore to work and what crazy cute thing your kid did today. I love that you ate a delicious salad for lunch and I agree that after the day you have YES! you do deserve to stop by Sonic for a happy hour drink. Yes! your dog is cute and Yes! You do have a hunky husband (for you that is... I think mine is pretty hunky). Yes! that coffee is necessary! Yes! you do look stinking adorable!

I just really like you people. I hope you never stop sharing your life with others because your life in all its mundane details and cute outfits matters to someone-- me.

Now back to "regularly" scheduled blog posts... which means an deluge of #happyHAWLEYday.

That wasn't an emotional rollercoaster or anything?! How sweet! I'm still so new to the blog world but seeing your friendship with Jessica and Kathleen (my IRL friend and former roomie) made me want to get into blogging. I love reading your posts and this made my heart so happy. You are awesome :)

I happened to think of this very thing over the last week, and you said it perfectly. It's been such a fun and amazing journey getting to know other people's lives, with this mutual understanding of what it takes to put it out there. Thank you for sharing your story with us too, Meg!

Okay, I'm not going to lie, when I first started reading this post I was freaking out. I thought you were about to say "bye" to blogging and I was about to flip out! But thank goodness you're staying around phew! I can relax and get to watch YOUR life unfold and grow a little longer...so thank YOU!
